A 22-year-old man was found motionless along Siloso Beach Walk on Sentosa on the afternoon of Friday, 15 May 2025, in an incident believed to involve drowning. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The Singapore Police Force and the Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) confirmed they received a call for assistance at 10 Siloso Beach Walk at 1.40pm that day. An SCDF paramedic pronounced the man dead at the scene upon arrival.

Based on preliminary investigations, the police said they do not suspect foul play. The case remains under active investigation.

A member of the public, who witnessed the scene, shared photographs on the Chinese social media platform Xiaohongshu. The images showed a blue police tent erected near the shoreline, with multiple police officers and civil defence personnel moving about in the surrounding area.

The witness, who was contacted by a reporter, said she did not observe any family members of the deceased in the vicinity at the time. She noted that the man was found lying on the shore, and that officers and emergency responders appeared to be conducting investigations in the area.

According to Shin Min Daily News, the deceased was not a Singapore national, though further details regarding his identity or nationality have not been officially released.

The beach area, which forms part of Sentosa's western coastline and is a popular recreational destination, was attended to by both police and SCDF units following the incident.
