SINGAPORE: Two people were taken to Singapore General Hospital following a violent altercation involving a man and two women inside a massage parlour at People's Park Complex on 2 July 2026.
Videos widely circulated on social media showed the trio exchanging punches, kicks and grappling inside Beijing Royal Massage Parlour before police officers and paramedics arrived at the scene.
The incident quickly drew public attention after footage captured the intensity of the confrontation and bystanders attempting to intervene.
Videos captured chaotic struggle
One video showed a woman wearing a pink top and another dressed in a black cardigan struggling with a man believed to be a massage therapist at the premises.
The women were seen punching and kicking the man, while the woman in pink briefly wrapped her arm around his neck from behind in what appeared to be a chokehold.
When a bystander attempted to separate those involved, the woman in black pushed the individual away while shouting, "Don't interfere!"
The man was later seen pushing the woman in pink aside before punching the woman in black in the head. He was also seen grabbing her by the neck and throwing her onto the floor during the confrontation.
Throughout the incident, another woman could be heard repeatedly shouting, "My friend is pregnant!"
Separate footage later showed police officers and medical personnel arriving with a stretcher outside the massage parlour.
The woman in pink was seen sitting outside the premises while the injured man received medical attention inside.
Woman alleges dispute stemmed from relationship
Speaking to Shin Min Daily News after the incident, the 40-year-old woman involved in the fight, who identified herself only as Wang, alleged she had previously been in a romantic relationship with the male massage therapist, whom she referred to as "Ah Feng".
According to Wang, she first visited the massage parlour in early May as a customer before requesting the therapist during subsequent visits.
She claimed the pair began a relationship in mid-May after becoming acquainted through his massage services.
Wang alleged they subsequently had sexual relations on multiple occasions and that she regularly paid almost S$400 each week to "buy time" with the therapist outside his working hours.
She claimed the arrangement typically involved paying S$180 for four hours before the pair went out for meals and booked hotel rooms together.
Pregnancy allegedly confirmed
Wang alleged she became concerned after experiencing physical changes and consulted a doctor.
She said she was informed on 1 July that preliminary examinations indicated she was pregnant.
According to Wang, she informed the therapist of the pregnancy but alleged he immediately ended the relationship and refused to acknowledge responsibility.
She claimed he told her, "Don't use the child to threaten me."
Wang also produced what she described as a doctor's referral letter stating a preliminary diagnosis of pregnancy and recommending antenatal examinations.
Dispute escalated at massage parlour
According to Wang, she visited the massage parlour the following day to retrieve personal belongings, including house keys and skincare products.
She alleged the therapist told her the items had been discarded, triggering an argument that prompted police officers to attend and mediate.
Wang claimed she left after the therapist allegedly agreed to search for the belongings.
However, believing further discussion about the pregnancy was necessary, she returned to the massage parlour at about 1pm with a friend.
She alleged the therapist refused to meet her.
"I thought since we were already there, we might as well have a massage," Wang said.
She claimed the parlour owner then attempted to remove them from the premises, leading to pushing between both sides before the physical confrontation erupted.
Woman claims earlier footage omitted
Wang alleged the massage parlour owner was the therapist's aunt and opposed their relationship.
She further claimed videos circulating online showed only the latter part of the confrontation.
"The boss was the one who pushed us first," she alleged.
"She cares a lot about him and didn't approve of our relationship. She tried to force us out, and that's when the fight started."
These allegations have not been independently verified.
Alleged miscarriage and legal action
Wang further alleged the therapist repeatedly struck her head and abdomen during the fight before lifting and slamming her onto the ground.
"He hit my stomach, choked me and pinned me to the floor," she said.
"I lost consciousness for a while. When I woke up, I called the police."
She alleged she later suffered a miscarriage after being taken to hospital.
According to Wang, doctors advised her to remain under observation, but she chose to leave hospital and was scheduled to return the following week for further treatment.
She also said she had applied for a Personal Protection Order against the therapist and intended to pursue legal action over the injuries she alleged she sustained.
Friend says she intervened to help
The woman seen wearing a pink top, who identified herself only as Chen, also spoke to Shin Min.
Chen said she accompanied Wang to seek an explanation from the therapist and became involved only after witnessing the confrontation.
"He knew she was pregnant but kept hitting her stomach," Chen alleged.
"I kept shouting, 'She's pregnant!' but it made no difference."
"I couldn't bear watching it any longer, so I stepped in. I ended up being thrown to the ground several times."
Chen said she suffered bruising in multiple areas of her body during the fight.
