Workers' Party names office-bearers as new Central Executive Committee holds first meeting
The Workers' Party has confirmed appointments within its newly elected Central Executive Committee, following the committee's first meeting on Tuesday, 7 July 2026, and the co-option of two additional members.

- WP's CEC held its first meeting on 7 July 2026, confirming office-bearer appointments.
- Two members, Fadli Fawzi and Andre Low, were co-opted into the CEC.
- Pritam Singh and Sylvia Lim continue as secretary-general and chair respectively.
The Workers' Party (WP) has confirmed the appointment of office-bearers within its Central Executive Committee (CEC), following the committee's first meeting on Tuesday, 7 July 2026.
The CEC continues to be led by Secretary-General Mr Pritam Singh and Chair Ms Sylvia Lim. Both were re-elected to their respective positions at the party's Cadre Members' Conference on 28 June 2026, following a Special Cadre Members' Conference at which cadre members voted to retain Mr Singh as secretary-general.
The party said it had co-opted two additional members into the CEC: Mr Fadli Fawzi, MP for Aljunied GRC, and Mr Andre Low, a Non-constituency Member of Parliament (NCMP), who contested Jalan Kayu Single Member Constituency (SMC).
According to appointments listed on the party's website, Mr Muhamad Faisal Abdul Manap has been appointed Vice Chair, while Mr Kenneth Tiong takes on the role of Treasurer. Mr Abdul Muhaimin Bin Abdul Malik has been named Deputy Treasurer.
Mr Dennis Tan Lip Fong and Ms He Ting Ru have been appointed Organising Secretaries, with Mr Tan Kong Soon and Mr Fadli Fawzi serving as Deputy Organising Secretaries.
Mr Chua Kheng Wee Louis has been appointed Head of the Media Team, with Mr Andre Low as Deputy Head. Dr Jamus Lim has been named Head of Policy Research, with Mr Gerald Giam as Deputy Head.
Ms Eileen Chong has been appointed Youth Wing President. Mr Low Thia Khiang and Mr Harpreet Singh Nehal have been named Committee Members.
In a statement, the party said that with the appointments in place, it looks ahead with confidence to serve its constituents and to advance the interests of Singapore and Singaporeans in the years ahead.
The appointments follow the election of a new 12-member CEC at the party's Ordinary Cadre Members' Conference on 28 June 2026, which took place after a Special Cadre Members' Conference requisitioned by 25 cadre members.

At that special conference, cadre members were given an account of the High Court judgment dated 4 December 2025 concerning Mr Singh, and subsequently voted in a secret ballot to retain him as secretary-general.
Speaking after that conference, Mr Giam described the outcome as a clear indicator of the support Mr Singh commands among cadres, characterising the result as a supermajority.
